It was a long, but beautiful hike from the North Shore to Ka'ena Point, and when we got to Ka'ena Point we saw three monk seals! The monk seal is native to Hawaii and endangered. They are occasionally seen basking on the Ka'ena beaches. We were quite lucky to get to see three! I absolutely loved seeing them.
Those are whales out there, blowing water up. We saw tons of them! The sign that was posted nearby read "During the months of December through May humpback whales can be sighted off the Ka'ena coast. These whales reside in Hawai'i during the winter, and travel up to Alaska during the summer and fall."
I love living in a place that continually reminds me of Jurassic Park! :) This was taken on the North Shore, its some random Jeep I thought looked cool with the hilly mountains in back, very Jurassic Park like.
Wanna see Micah's and my trip with my little sisters to Chuckie Cheese? Staci made a great post on it over on Sarah's and Chayah's blog, meimeiadventures.blogspot.com with tons of adorable pics! :) Click on the link to check it out.
